Right just been watching this game, Wilf started, didnt do too bad or much, got replaced bout 72mins. Anyhoo, now here's the thing, 81mins the ref suddenly buckled & keeps over, players rush over, help him up & he then just collapsed on the ground.

Medical staff, other officials rush over to help him & he is strechered off, confusion reigns, eventually a 'delegate's leads the 2 remaining officials to one side & after 10 mins, the game is finished/abandoned/stopped.

Seems there is NO 4th official, just like matches were pre Premier League, what, 30 years ago? Largest comp in Africa & they are 30yrs behind.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

In League One this weekend the ref twisted his ankle. They had a replacement. So the AFCON is not up to the standard of Coventry.
My main issue is releasing Premier League players to play in it. I'm often surprised they want to play for some of the countries. They must have loyalty to do so.

Hmmm tough call your family live in a country run by a dictator and he invites you to participate.

Many of them want to do it and some are just plain scared that they will be a come back for their families.

Off topic there was a survey the other day In Russia and Putin was voted the sexiest man alive. Well if the FSB asked me who I would vote for Vlad gets it every time and can you please put down those pliers.

That's great news for me as I look just like him, only better.

Not wanting to play for the country of your birth, rather than, say, going back generations to see if you've got any Irish forefathers?

Sounds like rugby. Who'd want to play for Ireland now? Taught a lesson by Luxembourg but fought for a draw against Qatar. No wins in 11 for this manager. I think one draw and 3? goals.
