Wasn't it Sherbourne School that Corbyn and his odious brother attended?

Just saying ...

As I read through I thought it was interesting. Then I saw that the writer is still complaining about Boris winning. They also don't seem to understand anything at all about politics, which is nearly always a perception of truth or right, rather than actual truth. Naivety at best.
Not understanding why Corbyn didn't win, however, and blaming it all on Tory lies and media collusion is just plain idiocy or dangerous derangement. You take the choice. Was the media and Tory lies the reason Corbyn didn't win? Or was it his own sh1t personality, poor choice of colleagues and shadow cabinet and last, but not least, awful choice of policies, completely out of touch with the people, including traditional Labour voters?
Corbyn didn't need the press to put people off. He did it very effectively himself.

A genuinely good article, thank you.

It's obviously a leftist article and site but its focus here is upon Peter Obsborne and well he was the political editor of the Telegraph and a Tory (though far too wet for my taste).

I feel that whatever your politics the points highlighted here ring very true.

All the quotes were relevant but this struck me as particularly important:

‘A great deal of political journalism has become the putrid public face of a corrupt government. There is only one good reason to be a journalist: to tell the truth. We should not go into our trade to become passive mouthpieces of politicians and instruments of their power. Too much of the media and political class have merged. The unnatural amalgamation has converted truth into falsehood, while lies have become truth.’ (the bold is mine)

I'm obviously not left wing at all but the principles being referred to here are vital for a healthy functioning and honest fourth estate.

And that's been forced back for decades now.

An interesting read but Run with the hounds and play with the fox.
This ditty fits obourne to a tee.
I think he is insulting the voters intelligence by stating the bloody obvious.
Does he think no one who votes understands how it works. Brown envelopes metaphorically have happened since someone became 'in charge' right back to neanderthals.
The real point about the public is that they and I want the most they and i can get for the minimum input. An easy life tbh.
Thats human nature and stirring it because you can normally increases the size of the cross hairs.
And I might add that you only get dead heroes; thats why their names are on the cenotaph.

The winner of" the best post of 2021 award"! Excellent read, how Boris gets away with so many lies is beyond me, and the press attacking Corbyn on anything he did or said, whether good or bonkers, was spot on! Always made me smile when reading here that the press are left wing, i just think back to the damage they caused to Corbyn, but this Oborne was at the heart of the CON media campaign, and even he couldn"t keep telling so many porkies for Bojo! Lets hope a wounded dom cummings will stick the knife in soon, even though he just got a 40% pay rise, the truth might out, just a shame that the white working classes over here won"t see it!

Yeah, because voting for Labour, who hate them, is such a better option for them.

I stopped reading the article when it said Boris told lies Corbyn didn't.

Corbyn damaged himself by trying to reinvent leninism.

And probably shortly after meeting Diane Abbott.
