Agreed.

I am surprised someone at the party seems to have 'broken ranks' after so long. Let's hope the truth is outed, and justice served.

I suppose it would be inappropriate to comment about the details of this since a trial might be a possibility in the near future. I always though the police would not let this one go because of the publicity around the case. Who ever did this should feel the law breathing down their neck for the rest of their life, even if there is ultimately no conviction.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The refusal of those at the "party" to co-operate with the police is what infuriates me and I suspect most people. If Barrymore is innocent he would have been better off telling all to the police he might have faced minor charges e.g. drugs but he could have redeemed himself.

And yet the psychology of "grassing" is what i find a tad interesting. Was it the BBC ? did that excellent documentary to mark 20 years and bring this case back under the spotlight. Remarkable investigative journalism. So grassing about a bit of stolen gear puts the informant to shame. And yet for murder (and this one in particular) there was going to be no other way to get the information needed to bring this to trial. There must have been a severe breakdown in relationships between those who witnessed/committed something at the party, for someone to finally come forward. I would have all the party attendees lined-up naked and go through all of their buttocks with a jack-hammer. I am quite liberal when it comes to the crime and punishment.
