just watched Liverpool chasing the game after Fulham, 0-1 the score for ages..Klopp screaming at Salah to get an equaliser....fully 2 extra minutes played...over and above the designated injury time.

Theirry Henry and that handball....

Mark Clattenburg and us at Wembley...

etc etc

Sorry to be pedantic, but, im going to be, THAT is a 'minimum' amount of time added on NOT the absolute amount of time.

In answer to your Q? hardly ever, just seems like it, tho, he who shouts loudest wins

If referees do favour the big clubs - and I'm doubtful about that - then I feel confident that it's unintentional and unconscious.

Take the 2016 Cup Final. Clattenburg indulging Ferguson with a friendly chat and a laugh in the sunshine before the match was unprofessional and disgraceful conduct. But although Clattenburg refereed that day as if he owed Ferguson a favour for being friendly to him, I still put his performance down to incompetence - or, as I say, unconscious favouritism.

you touched upon the nub of the story....the psychology of the ref.

Hypothetically, a top 4 Premier league giant draws a league 2 minnow in the FA cup.

does the ref 'just expect' 50:50 decisions to go in favour of the big club.

Does he unconsciously expect less scrutiny when the Giant wins ?

are the pleas of small teams treated like a Cassandra ? ignored and not listened to .

Does a nasty vicious tackle from Sergio Ramos go unpunished because he is champions league royalty ?

and when Jack McClack (Havant & Waterlooville) tries the same move its a straight red ?

PhDs have been done on this which did show that bigger clubs got better decisions from the ref. I haven't read the full conclusions but I know a couple of articles were written on this.

Here's something but there are a few. [Link]

while Leeds were winning at the Etihad,

Man City chasing the game.....the referees gave them three & a half minutes over and above the allotted amount.

b..stard referees. always in favour of the big clubs.

What part of MINIMUM time added on dont you understand? Also, there happened to be an injury which was 'milked' by the Leeds player after Fernandinho had took him out the game to stop another Leeds breakaway.

100% they do, always have always will....Check out Clattenberg in Cup Final...100% in favour of the w***ers, check out any Man Utd match that Howard Webb refereed 100% in favour of the w***ers.....look at the fact that Man U once went 4 seasons without a penalty against them at Old Trafford......always been the same and unfortunately always will be....sorry Willo but its true!
