Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Watching the news re Scottish politics, it struck me there’s something ‘fishy’ going on between Sturgeon and Salmon !!!

It seems every other day more witness' and evidence emerges and Sturgeon's denials are becoming more unbelievable. Still the SNP faithful will no doubt ignore all that. Meanwhile the EU are doing a grand job for Britain. I wonder how many SNP supporters still think it is a great idea to re-join. The EU the gift that keeps giving.

I am not reading much about it at the moment - is there much online as it all seems to have gone a bit quiet?

If she had come out and apologised stating that if she did mislead parliament, it certainly wasn't her intention (or words to that effect) then I think she would get away with it. Instead she and her team are going down the "world is against us" route which will work well with her hardcore supporters but probably wont with those more on the fence. She's a politician and therefore will hate to either admit she did wrong or to lose any power.

Misleading Parliament is not a sacking offence you say sorry I misspoke and move on. She and the tartan mafia have doubled down on an obvious lie so that her opponents are now digging deeper. It's always the cover up that gets you. If she goes it is likely to be related to the more serious charges that Salmond has made about her witch hunt against him and manipulating the justice system and civil service. Just like the EU she is in a hole and can't stop digging.

Should she resign? Then yes. Will she? I suspect not. She knows that it is s*** or bust time for her. Probably suspects that the peaks of the support for independence are passing her by now and knows that if she steps down, her entire political reason for being is gone.
If she does resign then it is because of something else lurking in the cupboard. Not this. And not because of outside pressure. A stab in the back is what is required. She cares nothing for any other kind of assault.
