A valuable away point at the Emirates.

23 points on the table already. Some amazing team performances.

Considering the huge money behind many other Prem teams, and the financial loss we are getting from Benteke. 30 million quid gone with few goals to show.

Sky pundits commenting on our shoestring budget.

Name one previous manager who has achieved so much AND been loyal to Palace ?

with Our ageing squad....Roy is doing a great job.

Steve Coppell.
Got us promoted on a shoestring budget with a team he built.
Took us to the equivalent of 3rd place in the Premier League and also a Cup Final.
Wasn’t born in Croydon, but can surely be forgiven for this.

Agree completely. Roy has done a great job on peanuts transfee budgets. Totally loyal and committed and never complains.

and i say this to all the Eagles (& brighton trolls) on here who are baying for Roy's P45.

Palace will miss Roy when he decides to hang up his wings & Talons. But hopefully not for a few more years.

0-0 draw vs a bottom half team.

Bloke has steadied a wobbly ship. Above teams who have spent millions. Wolves spent 30+m on a right back for example. Another year Mr Parish. Sign him up please

A financial 'David & Goliath' story. In Goliath's back yard.

( apologies to the Emirates for a Biblical reference but i don't know the stories from the other holy books ).

Little Roy hit his slingshot and smacked big Arteta right in the chequebook goolies.

All the Arsenal fans living in SE25 were crying, innit Blud.

Stale outdated tactics. Stone age play not to lose or limit inflicted damage. No sir. i will take a 1:1 a la fulham vs Tottenham to 0:0 happenstance Hodgeson BS. Parker's boys played with more endeavor and industry than the "brilliant shoe string budget Roy side" if the Arse had knicked a goal, Roy would be pleased with a narrow loss against a might top 6 side? This was a winnable game. We have won bigger games with weaker squads. So there.

But they didn't. Nor did Spurs score again against the Cottagers, away. We nicked a point off the Gunners in their back yard. If you would rather watch Fulham or Tottenham, knock yourself out. But a point away to Arsenal is a decent result.

That's the only time Arsenal will be referred to as Goliath this season - I don't think anyone is frightened to play them. I'm not really sure you're even familiar with the biblical story. First off, David won. Secondly, by the sounds of things David was a complete nut job with small man syndrome and a complete disregard for risk and attacked Goliath from the start without any amour. He's the polar opposite to Roy.

Finally, this just goes to show how completely delusional some people are about Hodgson. A 0-0 draw against a patchwork side featuring a number of fringe players and you are making him out to be some kind of miracle worker. You need to get a grip on reality.

Be careful what you wish for.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
