I stated in my online application that I was happy to wait longer to have it,I would rather people who are more frontline working Than myself or have greater needs to be vaccinated to receive it before myself, I think the government may have underestimated how much the task of vaccinations for the whole of the UK is going to be, could be a lengthy process.

Happy new year to all Palace fans everywhere I was against the jab at first, however now I will have it. I’m starting to get pee’d off with the current situation and want my life back, I’m missing a lot of things. Can’t wait to get back inside Selhurst. Only know one person who’s had the jab, she’s a 53 year NHS worker.

I had it two weeks ago It’s just a vaccination Anyone sowing seeds of doubt in others effectively is an anti-vaxer I have had the Devil’s own job to get all of my Care Assistants to take the vaccine. If they don’t inevitably people will die. Also their jobs can’t be done properly and our business may well go under. I feckin hate misinformation and the drones that repeat it. It’s not exactly hard to check facts but people seem to like the thrill of ‘being naughty’. They seem happy to do social, economic and health damage I despair. It’s not just the poorly educated.

What a ridiculous statement. It is perfectly understandable that people have concerns about a vaccine that has gone from concept to production in a year. So now people are faced with a choice. If you are in the highly vulnerable groups then it seems like a fairly easy choice. The risk from COVID-19 is high and the risk from the vaccine should be very small. If you are in a low risk group then it is up to the individual to decide the relative merits. You are a man who was telling us recently that taking vitamin D was the answer to all our problems, so I would question your opinions based on that alone. As someone with experience, I would say that certainly, all the vaccines that I had anything to do with were rigorously tested for the usual stuff and that I would assume that COVID-19 will be no different, despite the timescale involved. Of course, little is 100% guaranteed in life but there will be a period for many people to see how well the vaccine is working for the vulnerable and frontliners and success should allay any reasonable fears or scepticism they might have.

So you forced low paid care assistants to get the vaccine? I can't blame you as the way you see it you are protecting people. However, you cannot be entirely sure there are no side effects.

Im torn, i have a real fear of needles(childhood issue), which is weird as a ref we had at least a yearly medical, sometimes 2. I had plenty when i was in the Navy. If i want to get back into Spain, as it currently stands, not only will i need a PCR test(@ £145 a pop), but im being forced to have a jab or 2 so we dont go on Spains/EU's naughty list. Still, as long as they give me a sweetie afterwards for being a brave boy, i guess i can do it.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I have formed the conclusion that there will not be the 'Mass rollout' as stated due to vaccine supplies and the number of staff required for such an ambitious target. The notion that some sort of normality will return by Easter/spring is fanciful. We will be locked down into the summer months at the earliest.
