Another icon of last century gone.

A bit of a fan of George Smiley. I went for a walk recently around the Chelsea Embankment and realised that I could follow part of the plot of his first novel A Call For The Dead which partly set around Cheyne Walk and Lots Row. RIP

One of my favourite authors. Had a funny time on a train with Neil Tennant sitting opposite me. I was reading The Constant Gardener, somehow this seemed to make Neil Tennant come on to me - or I was paranoid. He asked me what I did. I said Truck driver - which I thought was macho. I then bought a case of lager and got pissed. Not like gay people would do that. Anyway, John Le Carre, RIP. Enjoyed your books, cue the films on TV.
