Given the last two performances compared to the previous two, and the nightmare earlier against the Weed, we're hardly consistent.

But in the last two games we've showed a more attacking intent.

What has changed? Has Roy become a little less cautious?

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Nothing has changed with Roy and the way he wants the team to play, we scored and that was the difference.
Results and performances are two different things.

Of course we have changed our tactics. Last year we played 4-3-3, this year it is 4-4-2 and a different attacking intent. I prefer this years tactics massively from last years.

And possession stats and goal attempts have changed in the last couple of games - we have had more possession and goal attempts, against teams at either end of the table. So yes, the outlook is far more positive, and I think this is because we carry a more balanced threat up front with Eze, who is proving to be a very useful signing.

I think really what happened at the end of last season and start of this was that we were going through a protracted injury dilemma and fair-play to the club, they didn't draw attention to it and let other teams know how much it was compromising our strategy. Now we are pretty much back to full-strength and able to move on with new phase of strategy, feeding through to more possession and attacking tactics. It's quite exciting, particularly with the fans back in the stadium today to barrack for the team and shape the victory (sorry draw)

Today we showed intent from the start for the first time in a long time.
I expected us to sit back from the off so I was pleasantly surprised and we carried on having a go all the way through.
I was impressed today and I am in the Roy out camp!

Me too! This is all we have ever asked for. I don’t mind us losing if we play like this.

Roy has finally realised that to get anything against the big teams you have to chance your arm other than just sit back and wait for the 2-0 defeat. Eze has completely transformed our attacking play. What a signing

Nail on head. A team with our restricted squad suffers badly when key players are injured. A full squad and we can finally play.

IMO Roy tries to set the team up so as to play to its strengths. The regular playing of Eze and the growing recognition by our opponents of his qualities has allowed Wilf a bit more space. Add to that Benteke's link-up and other play in the opponent's half together with PvA's and Schlupp's forward runs and we have a team capable of causing problems in the opponent's third of the pitch and Roy has set us up to do that in the last two games.

It's our defence that worries me a little. Whilst KOuyate has done a reasonably good job filling in at CB, he's rather like Luka in insisting on trying to make unnecessary tackles near our own penalty area (like in today's game when he gave away the free kick which Dier nearly scored from). Hoping Tomkins will start soon in his place.

...and Kouyate in McArthur's? Or would that be more of the same? These two and Luka don't foul subtly. it will cost us.
