Now at PSV. Wonderful player. 18 years old. Was in the Academy from 12 to 14 years old. Just wondering if anyone saw him play. This player shpuld not have been let go. Will develop into a great national team player. Course, not much can be seen at younger ages, but I wonder what haplened. He first left to the Spurs Academy and then to PSV.

Left footed winger. Great attack by PAV this year with Donyel Malen, Zahavi and Cody Gakpo. Malen is too expensive for us and Zahavi, although atill good, is too old,but Gakpo and Madueke could be brought in for under 10 million each.

He would even occupy a home grown player position.

I should imagine the point being made is that the player left us off his own accord because he wanted to go to spurs, rather than Palace letting him go.

Parish has spoken frequently of the need to improve the academy not only to attract talent but also to retain it.

My only other observation is that how good a player looks at youth level rarely equates to how good they actually turn out. Even youth world cup winning sides rarely produce more than a couple of top level senior players. A great many more of the brightest youths end up not even being professional footballers, so even if we did let one go who turned out to be a good player, I wouldn't use that as evidence of failure in our system.
