MP's
Not talking about wages. Talking expenses.

My company expenses were queried down to the last 500 metres of travel, and why I had 'over-spent' by 50p on lunch.

When you and I pay taxes, you expect some accountability.

I look at all MP's, the clothes they wear, the make-up (they need) and even the hair-dressing, and it's all put on 'expenses'

I just feel a massive amount of urine is being extracted (as well as monies) from all voters.

It doesn't matter who you vote for, the result is always the same. you get shafted.

I disengage, I turn the page.

Agreed.

I travelled abroad frequently for my company and when I did my expenses I often found I was out by £10 or something like. I just excepted the loss which considering I got to travel abroad was fair enough. Some of my colleagues would fiddle their expenses just to make up the shortfall and some got caught and sacked, not worth it.

MPs expenses are overly complex and open to abuse. I would move to a set amount depending on where the MPs constituency was e.g. inside M25 or outside.

How they spent that money would be up to them, it would do away with all this nonsense.

Double or even treble their salaries. This puts a finite figure on their cost to the tax payer. Trouble being people dont want them to earn more yet complain when they claim back what they are 'entitled 'to claim back. It's a double edged sword in that respect.

and being an MP is apparently part-time work, because income they get from 'consultancy work' (contacts) is significantly more.

And what pi$$es me off most, is that we can't even burn the HoC down, because none of the feckers are there, due to CV19.
and I bet all the cunces are still claiming "attendance allowance, and travel" from poncing on a TV monitor.

Josef Stalin used to charge people expenses for their own execution.

The family would receive an invoice....detailing the costs of bullets, service charge, cleanup plus VAT.

what a guy !

I'm just waiting for the inevitable 20% pay rise that they will vote themselves, because they are ALL doing such a great job?

Already voted for from memory?
I signed a petition against it.
Wasn't 20% but given that no one else is getting anything it is a disgrace given most of them don't even zoom in to the house!
