Purely subjective of course. IMO the top two are two of the greatest keepers of all time. 1, Jennings 2, Banks 3, Shilton 4, Clemence 5, Seaman

I thought Shilton overrated. very flat footed. Jacko was better. Joe Corrigan was better than either Clemence or Seaman.

I used to consider our John Jackson good enough for England but he wasn't considered because we weren't a 1st division side. Palace have had some great keepers in the past but keeping was easier back then because the heavier ball didn't move about so much.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

Difficult and if you go back further England had a constant supply of top goalies. They got knocked about and a maximum wage of £20 per week. Bert Williams - Wolves and England. Colin McDonald - Burnley and England. Ron Springett - Sheff Wed and England. Reg Matthews - Coventry and England. Must be plenty more, can't think of a palace one although Nigel Martyn may have played a few times.
