Awful story, with all the usual sentiments but what has/is fascinating me is the reaction by many on the left. Or the lack of it.

Here we have a specific attack that has been labelled Islamic terrorist. Against a teacher. Not a cop or tourists but somebody at the heart of a secular educational system. Teaching about freedom of speech.

Now I follow/look at quite a few left wing sources. And in the majority of cases they are not even acknowledging that it happened and in the tiny minority where they do, the debate is solely around the wisdom of what the teacher did with a variety of levels of the term 'but' by way of attemtping to justify or excuse the murder.

If the Left cannot even bring themselves to condemn the death of a teacher, you have to ask what will they ever condemn when it comes to Islamic terrorism.

The French seem adament it is a full on terrorist attack but I am sure the usual suspects will soon let us know that actually, it was a largely peaceful act which just ended in an unfortunate manner. Nothing to see here really and if you do think it is worthy of condeming in a forthright manner then that probably says more about the hatred in your own heart rather than that of the protester.

Whilst an horrific attack/murder, the bbc stated, that the attacker was an 18yo Chetnik whose sister was being taught by the teacher. Apparently, according to the bbc, the teacher had said to his class, he was going to talk about 'freedom of speech' & also stated he would be showing cartoons of 'mohammed' ala Charlie Hebo. Again, he apparently offered the class the chance to 'opt out' which, again occording to reports, most of the Boys & a few of the Girls did.

A few of the class rose concerns after he had taught them & this 18yo took his course of action. Thankfully he was shot dead. Pity our Police dont take this action against these people.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I am on the left and completely condemn this act of medieval religious fanaticism. Every newspaper and magazine should publish those cartoons on their front pages. This is the 21st century not the 13th.

There are many nutters out there. Extreme religious believers are a major nightmare in today's world.

Shooting was too quick a death for the murderer.

The French are solving the problem by selling more inflatable dingys around the port of Calais.

I disengage, I turn the page.
