Ongoing rumours that Brooks could be moving to Sheffield United.. Surely we could compete with them for his signature.

Yeah I heard that number too, but now fans aren't coming back for the foreseeable, they may potentially drop that price to keep their accounts healthy. Edited by RyWa (08 Oct 2020 12.13pm)

Not sure in PL season 2 where Sheffield would get the money from after buying Brewster. Having said that I don’t know a great deal about their owners wealth. Anyone?

He would transform us. Hence he won't be on our radar. He could wait for the big boys - I'm surprised the Manchester clubs aren't sniffing around, particularly as he will qualify as home grown for squad registration. However, he does seem to fly under the radar somewhat unlike Rice and Grealish. I'd forgotten about him until I saw this thread. When we beat them 2-0 he was their only decent performer.

I wonder how many of the players of clubs such as Sheffield Utd realise their owners are part of the ruling families who allow torture, execution for minor offences and widespread abuse of migrant workers and women? These are truly horrible people. But, you know, if it means getting into Europe and staying in the PL. I would like to think that most people would rather we continued the way we are doing things rather than handing over the keys to the club to scum and villainy. David Brooks looks like a great player however! Not coming here though. Bournemouth want £50m and I imagine we would struggle to pay half that.
