"Many clubs are on the verge of going bust"

[Link]

Whilst I have everything sympathy for the clubs in the lower league tax payers money should not be used to bail them out. Football is awash with money but it does not spread it around fairly.

The big boys are quite happy for the taxpayer to support the little clubs whilst clubs like Arsenal make 50 of their staff redundant and happily give their top striker a large pay rise.

Other sports may simply not have the income stream but the government should tell the FA to do it's job which is to run the sport or move aside and let another body do it.

I suspect that some PL cubs would be happy for the lower leagues to collapse as when the dust settles it will mean they can keep more of the spoils.

Where is the FA in all of this?

It is a tough one but I agree the PL needs to help.
Below the Championship it is tough - unless you are a Sunderland size Club.
Maybe they need a percentage of their matchday income given to them in a lump sum.
If they own their own grounds then sell them to the local Councils or similar and rent them back?
The Government is giving loans to some very dodgy companies right now - why not Football Clubs and put a charge or inhibition on their ground(s)?
Just some thoughts on the matter that's all.

It makes us very proud we’re destroying everything when we saw it happening months ago.

Pay the players less. Simple

Just as I thought. This will now get very messy.

Trouble is the players in the lower leagues aren’t on big big salaries and the tightening at the top won’t bring the game to its knees. The transfers and new contracts will reflect the situation.

I beg to differ. There are players in div 1 and2 on 30k a week. Needs to be divided by ten.

Absolutely spot on. The mere fact that a player like Ozil remains on £350K per week while the bedrock is sinking fast, is obscene.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Which clubs pay and which players in the third and fourth tier are paid £30k per week?

Pl clubs deadlocked on providing assistance to the lower leagues. No surprise there when most of the clubs have foreign owners why should they care about Hartlepool or Grimbsy.

So I say again where are the FA in all this, conspicuous by their absence.
