The Trust held a Zoom meeting with the Club on 17 September pm.

The Club referred to the unprecedented times and the financial commitments being made in terms of the Academy, the new stand (awaiting the Mayors approval) and player purchases, the lack of match day and advance season ticket income and the effects on tv monies.

The Trust referred to its open e-mail to the Club regarding the recent arrangements for the sale of season tickets. In the e-mail the Trust urged the Club to make certain changes as soon as possible. In brief these were:-

1) to extend the deadline for renewal of tickets until the end of the month while also providing any details possible of the Club's response plan to Covid 19 to allow fans to make an informed decision.
2) to extend the defer to 2021/22 option to everyone.
3) to provide partial refunds (for matches not attended) within 14 days.
4) to re-introduce the Direct Debit option for those fans who are unable to pay up front.

The Club acknowledged the points made in support of these proposals but had decided not to change the current position in any way. It indicated that the deadline had already been extended and that the deferral option was now open to over 65's. A further week would be given for 'save your seat' but no other alterations were envisaged.

At the end of the period others would be invited to apply for season tickets and movement of seats may be possible.

It was confirmed that as at the time of the meeting 12,000 season tickets had been renewed and 1000 deferrals applied for.

In respect of deferrals the Box Office would contact those who had applied and ask for a note of the situation dealing with them on a case by case basis.

They would not act in a 'Draconian' way and any fan whose case was rejected would receive a refund.

The only other change was a commitment to review the finance arrangements for those paying in installments at the end of the season.
Details of arrangements for reduced capacity games would follow central Government and ruling bodies advice but specific guidance relating to Selhurst Park could not yet be provided.

A lie is halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its boots on

Sainsburys do not have a lease on their store - they own it outright together with both carparks.

I see that the HF have put out a statement today saying that they have registered their displeasure with the club in the way that they have handled the ticketing debacle. They're also saying that none of them are renewing under the present arrangement.

Sorry but I don't know how to tag the link here from Facebook.

Josh and Blitzer must not dip into their billion dollar fortunes temporarily. Not now, not 9 months ago or more when they took an interest loan out on tv money due to pay for player signing costs. Did they charge interest for the Allardyce survival fund?

The type of football that’s been on show being more suited to an armchair or recliner makes it an easier decision. I am one customer going to be ‘lapsed’ in the current status field in their database before they meet or brainstorm over where to use fans’ money more again rather than build the main stand for corporates they talked about 4 years ago was it?

Thanks for confirming what we all knew. Like it or lump it.

Good on them. I was doubting they would do the right thing as it would mean they wouldn’t be there, but we’ll done to them. This has a real stench to it and I wonder if parish would’ve done this without the Americans on the board.

Click on share and select something where you’ll then see the Facebook web address like outlook. When it goes into an email on outlook you can copy that and paste it here.

The club "acknowledged" the points made, but aren't going to change a single thing.
In other words they don't give two hoots about the supporters, and they will hold our seats to ransom to make us pay up.

The amount of people being declined by V12 - the credit company is astonishing. I would urge anyone thinking about going down this line to think hard as you'll get a black mark against your credit rating if you get a refusal.

I think the ST renewal process highlighted that the fans are now treated as customers/widgets and lays bare any bollocks SP spouts about community etc etc.

The SLAP billboards are product advertising not community bonding

CPFC is a business and the aim is to generate the highest possible return for the shareholders, which is the aim of every business.

"Reality is his legacy is the academy, 8 seasons in the prem and probably a brand new main stand", true except I would put possibly rather than probably.

It is what it is.

If HF are going to make ST renewal decision en masse so the " singing section " seats become available.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
