An underrated player in my opinion and his ability to play on the left has not been exploited much. I like him, though he is old and without resale value and is pretty greedy, as far as is known having a big contract at both Arsenal and Everton. I feel like who will get Theo will do good business though, cause he will have a period of starting games and get close to the national team one last time in his career. From Everton though, I'd like it more than Walcott if they offered 19 year old Gordon+ money for Zaha. They boy can be the next Harbey Barnes. He has no room from midfield up this year, as they invested a lot: Gbamin (Gomes), Allan (Davies), Doucoure (Sigurdsson)- James Rodriguez (Bernard/Walcott), Calvert Lewin (Moise Kean), Richarlison (Iwobi) With James probably attacking midfielder and Sigurdsson gone if one of Zaha, Bertrand Traore (Lyon) or Leon Bailey (Leverkusen) come in.

Not sure how much crack you would have to smoke before that deal made any sense. Probably quite a lot.

Edited by mattteo (14 Sep 2020 12.16pm) Why would they value Gordon at £5m? Their best academy kid, picked up 11 league appearances last year aged 19 and just signed a long term deal in September... Walcott is as bad a signing as we could make; big wages, poor injury record, wrong side of 30 and also very clearly just doesn’t give a s***. You should stick some money on him re-claiming an England spot if you really believe it, you’d get cracking odds.

He hasn't had a major injury for 6 years. He went out against Man City last year after 7 minutes but was fit after 2 weeks. I could ever classify Walcott as not giving a s***. Clearly we have different impressions. Wrong side of 30 yes (but not by much and a formerly top quality player will still be PL level for until 35) and big wages I agree with. But I feel this is what makes me different from everyone else. You see a player who looks finished and who wasn't allowed to shine by his managers at Arsenal and from last year and you think he will never be the same Walcott from the past. I see an opportunity to sign him for cheap (what's 5 million in today's market for an international with over 45 England national team matches and former child prodigy? ) and a player who can do great given chances.

Value them all, Mattteo. Impossible to respond without hard numbers to consider. Walcott £1m, Wilf £100m...okay sure. But that's not what you mean
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |
