Not usually keen on wild suggestions but I saw that Villa's offer for Wilson was a long way short of his valuation and it reminded me of the quality he has. As we are no longer able to bring in Gallagher, we might be interested in another attacking midfielder/winger who could be available on loan. The lad is an excellent set piece taker and looked good every time I saw Bournemouth last season. I'm not sure if others are more familiar with him and would know if he would be a good fit or not. I felt like Bournemouth didn't give him enough time, especially as he seemed to give them options when he was on the pitch. Just a thought, anyone have an opinion on his ability?

Good set piece taker, but not only. Definitely an uograde from Andros as a left footed winger. Can take the ball with him and dribble pretty fast. Well built, but rather short. Don't expect an amazing physicality, but the lad does his job, comes back with his man, runs a lot. Can play a lot of positions through midfield, but I see him as inverted winger, using that left foot in order to do what he likes- dribble. Mentioned him a really, really long time ago. Seemed like untouchable in a time when Bournemouth was looking good and he didn't look like going down with them. I think that's when Liverpool asked for 28-30 million. After Bournemouth's bad run, Harry was sort of found guilty by Eddie Howe and used less (unfair for a 22 year old, cause Callum Wilson and Fraser and the other players there weren't helping him much either). His price has gone down and I believe he could be taken for around 15. How much did Villa bid? One of the left footed wingers the club should look into. I made this list with some names and he's definitely on it: [Link] First time we talked about him on this forum, here: [Link] Edited by mattteo (09 Sep 2020 6.50pm)

My mate is an avid Bournemouth fan and his evaluation of Wilson was great technique but goes missing way too much in games. Offers moments of real quality but they were few and far between. Therefore he says rumoured value is way way to high (big club bump up) and if he was a Bournemouth owned player after his performances last season his value would be much lower. My opinion was he didn't blow me away when he came up against Palace. The few performances that Brooks made imo were more impressive. Edited by samprior (09 Sep 2020 4.19pm)

Edited by samprior (09 Sep 2020 4.19pm) I think there's a player there, done really well for Derby, with Mason Mount, who's since kicked on. With all the players that Bournemouth have since sold for millions, and still there are clubs willing to spend millions on the likes of Brookes, King, Solanke, Lerma, etc. Eddie Howe must have lost the dressing room in my opinion, with the talent they had, they shouldn't have got relegated, so I don't think you can blame Harry Wilson, for having a poor season there last year. Rumoured to be available for circa £15 million, with a sell on clause, I'd take him for that.

Thanks for the info

Terrible player, scores wonder goals and that's it.

My view was: “ My own opinion is that he won’t make it at Liverpool - I think he’ll settle at a club like Bournemouth in the long term. Outstanding end product player, but lacks the physical attributes to be a top level winger. ” Yours was; “ I just had certainty about him, I knew he was going to make it. From the movement on and off the ball, the way he ran, the way he shot.”

My frenemy, to be nice to you wuth some pet name, Harry Wilson was last year one of the 10 best U23 atacking players coming up from English football, alongside Rashford, Tammy Abraham, Calvert Lewin, Greenwood, Mount, Harvey Barnes, Foden, Maddison and Daniel James. Do you know how much they cost or if their clibs would ever sell?? No?! What exactly are you trying to say??? That I was wrong when I told an unknown player from the Championship will make it in the PL?? Well, he has and he will surely continue in the PL this year. He was a no-name when I talked about him. Yes, I said Liverpool might not let him go for less than 60 million. They would. So he's a good catch if signed. I think Liverpool should use him more, but it's their management. If he plays some 10-20 games next year,he'll be worth what I said. If not, he's a good addition for any mid-table club. Trying to say that I was wrong about a player who actually did make it in the PL and scored 7 goals last year, where 98% of all youth level player don't even get to play.....just shows how you're embarrassing yourself.

Just admit you got it wrong, it’s really not a big deal to anyone else. The fact you think Harry Wilson was ‘unknown’ before his move to Derby speaks volumes not only to your delusions of grandeur, but also a distinct lack of knowledge - he was capped by Wales at 16, Liverpool U23 captain by 19 winning Academy POTY the same season and then scored 7 in 13 for Hull in the championship. He’s long been touted as one of the stars of the future.
