I was wondering if there was any news on whether any of the trialists that have played for the u23s over the past few weeks have been or are likely to be offered contracts? We seem to have had a look at plenty with seemingly some names that were deemed decent prospects and with Cat 1 football we certainly want/need to add depth; firstly to be competitive and secondly to ensure we don’t leave ourselves short if we can secure decent loan opportunities for the likes of Kirby, Woods etc.

Richard Shaw was sacked pretty quickly after those comments. TM and BP have gone on to make appearances for the first team.

I think it’s pretty likely that most of our 23s such as Kirby and Flanagan etc won’t make it with us. But I’m sure there will be some of that lot that can make a career at a decent level.

I know we have Alfie Matthews from Arsenal on trial and a Southampton player Harlan Hale. Both have looked good from what I have seen and read and I would be surprised if they are not offered deals to try and beef out our U23s ahead of our first season at Cat 1 level.

I thought he'd left. And that there was only one, but not Connor MacLeod of the clan MacLeod.
