A lots going on beneath the radar I assume. Precious little above it! This is the kind of player maybe Palace should be going for either loan with option to buy or transfer? He certainly seems to have done really well at Swansea, and would be the opposite of a marquee signing, in that he wouldn't cost megabucks, but with bags of potential and sell on value?

I really do not think Liverpool would sell but a season long loan could suit all parties. Would be lively and knows where the net is.

Would be a fantastic loan signing for a season if supplemented with an actual signing like Watkins. Brewster on loan, Fraser on a free, buy Watkins and Eze. Sell Zaha and Benteke. I can dream!

Rhian Brewster,Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi were inseparable when they were at the Chelsea Academy and they were all on loan together at Swansea last season.

Great to dream, my dream too. But this being Palace, etc...! What we need is an update from Dazza, if there's anything to update on! My hunch is that when things go really quiet is when the real business is being done....we'll find out soon enough.

Brewster and Eze are kiddies, Fraser is good, but not top class, while Watkins is good, but with a high price for a center forward from the Championship. While exciting as it would be to watch these kids play and run a lot, it would be a difficult task staying up in the Premier League.

Watkins and Eze are unproven at this level but with Watkins landing 29 goal contributions last season and Eze with 22, they will hardly make our attack worse. Let's not forget that only Ayew scored more than four last season. Best case scenario, one or both of them take to the Premier League well. The last two in particular are proven Championship quality and, should the worst happen next season, would have a good chance of firing us straight back up again.

He did, I know he did. But then he provided 4 assists in 2100 minutes this season, so overall he is a good player, but not top class. He is also 1,63 cm in height and the defending and set pieces would suffer because of it once he plays as a starter. The positive is that he was on a very small salary at Bournemouth (35000 a week) and might come for a decent salary here. Good player, but there are downsides too.

Consider what our available budget might be. We are not able to compete for top class players. Your point about his height is irrelevant if you factor in that he's a potential replacement for Zaha, hardly renown for his contributions in those areas.

A 1,80 height player like Zaha I believe is at least able to head out a few crosses when defending at corner kicks. Fraser overcame his height handicap with great work ethic, but also had some problems with weight control and Eddie Howe punished him for this. As he approaches 30s, he will find it more and more difficult to keep up the pace with taller players who take 1 step while he takes 3 short ones.

Zaha does make more tackles but I think the point is that Fraser is perhaps more useful defensively than you might think. Anyway I've taken this thread off track from Brewster so apologies for that.
