Chelsea offered him to the spammers in a part exchange deal so why dont Palace put in a reasonable bid for him ? or if Wilf is determined to leave then offer a player exchange.
Touch my coffee and I will slap you so hard even Google won't be able to find you. |

Chelsea have just lost William so maybe they will be interested in Wilf as a replacement? Corrected I meant they might now want him.

Useful info, thanks Willo. I would be amazed if WetSpam sell him though, as he's central to their plans. This might mean that Batshuayi might be available to other clubs, and as well all know did well at Palace on loan. Palace are keen on Watkins, but it seems Villa are favourite to sign him. If Watkins doesn't make it to Palace then we might be interested in bidding for Batshuayi later in the window?

Just because they paid a lot for him, they want a lot. He's alright for half the price perhaps. Nowhere near worth 25-30 mil.

It seems that if you play for the top six you are given a higher value regardless of whether you are any good or not. Let's face it, if he was that good they wouldn't be selling him.

Rice can play both as a defensive midfielder breaking up the play or in central defence and he has performed both these roles at W.Ham. Indeed towards the end of the season, W.Ham deployed him in central defence.

The other factor in this is his wages. He is apparently on £100k pw at Chelsea, which would be over £20m for a 4-year contract. A club of our size really needs to be trying to get players in who might still cost £15/20m but whose wage demands are lower, such as top players from the Championship or smaller clubs in Ligue 1. Batshuayi did quite well for us but I'm not sure he showed he's worth breaking the bank for. I'd take him on loan again though if we don't sign anyone permanently to challenge Tekkers.

When you consider how he has never really been favoured at Chelsea, that wage is probably the main reason he hasn’t begged to leave. As I don’t suppose many outside of the top sides anywhere , will pay him that sort of money. Chelsea would lose very little if they off loaded at 15-20 mill saving some on salary . But would he go anywhere for less money.
