I was 16, and drinking with my school mates in the local pub in Bagshot. The Hero.
Snakebites were the order of the day (cider and lager). This was early 1980's, before 'turbo-shandies' arrived.

So my school friend is sitting with a pint at his table. "what the fck is that ?"

A pint glass. Half Stella, half scrumpy-jack. A shot of gin, and a shot of JD,.....and a creme de menthe 'depth-charge'(a shot glass dropped into the drink)

I took a swig and it was disgusting. It took him 2 hours to drink it. But he didn't vomit

When I was on my uppers I used to buy 2 cans of kestrel super and two normal kestrel. Mix half and half and had four mid strength beers.
Although I can drink special brew from the can so maybe I'm a lost cause.
When I worked behind the bar at the west bec con club some fella used to have about 16 bottles of barley wine in a night. Now that is going some.

It's a close call super Tennant's super Skol or super kestrel they made you feel super after a couple of cans in fairness
