I see a few articles circulating today about us being interested in Chelsea's Connor Gallagher.

If true, you know it will another RLC situation where we are Chelsea's testing ground to see if they are good enough for the PL.

I was thinking, bet it's a loan. On another note should we not put a small bid in for Loftus-Cheek? He never seems to play and surely they're going to buy, buy, buy.

Really I hadn't heard that West Ham were interested so it can't be true.

RLC played yesterday he's just coming back from a major injury so I doubt Chelsea will sell him. I think he gets at least 1 more season to show them if he is worth a place.

I witnessed Gallagher play today for Swansea and I have seen him play in other Swansea games and also for Charlton.

I know some chaps who have seen him play far more than I have and we all agree that the right-footed Gallagher is a hard-working box-to-box, energetic player who is tenacious and doesn't shirk a challenge.Gallagher has collected 10 yellow cards this season.

So Willo what are you saying he is a good addition for a premiership team or just a run of the mill box to box player with little flair ?

The consensus of opinion amongst those whom I have spoken to is that he could well be an effective player in the PL. At present he is only aged 20 and has only played in the Championship but has the potential to be an asset in the PL.

Strikes me as the sort of player Chelsea may release in order to fund other transfers. Being reported in the Express [Link] they are looking to offload around 6 players to do this.

Given Chelsea have blooded a few youngsters this season and Gallagher was loaned out suggests to me he is not seen as a real contender and his potential place is blocked by the likes of Abraham.

Stood out at the Charlton. I think for the right money this would be a good addition given time and opportunity - whether or not Roy would give him both is another question!

My mates a Swansea fan and follows the championship very closely. He doesn’t think this lad is a box to box midfielder. He’s more of a play maker. 10 yellows just suggests he’s not great at timing a tackle which will need to get better. He had a better goal scoring record for Charlton but a better assists record at Swansea. He’s definitely more suited as a forward playing midfielder.

Ultimately my mate said 10m is way too much but he’s a bit of a tight ass lol and I never trust him on the value of something!

Tell your mate not to worry too much. We're definitely haggling.

I watched him quite closely last night and he is all action. Technically he is two footed, composed on the ball and can shoot from outside the box - if you see goals he scored for Charlton. I think the more involved he is the more instinctive he gets. He is a natural footballer

A few times he was waiting at the edge of the box for a chance to strike but wasn't found by team mates. In defence he sometimes gets caught out, but that may have been down to trying too hard or exeburance, or the way Swansea were set up. He will learn positioning playing with others at a higher level.

I'd be very surprised if Chelsea are willing to let him go though but I think he would be a good signing if he were for sale.

Great player for his age but before loaning I'd like to know a price for the ultimate transfer. I bet it's not lower than 25 million.

And just having him for 1 year in the squad is more like disrupting the first 11.
