Speed this happened at it is quite astounding. And an absolutely huge blow to the Corbynite wing of the LP because RLB was their blue-eyed girl, their supposedly anointed successor to Saint Jeremey.

Shows that Starmer has a ruthlessness although I suspect he was ordered by whoever is pulling his strings, and he is a fully paid up stooge, to move this quickly against her.

I have a sneaky respect for Starmer he is smart enough to know that the hard left can't help themselves "give em enough rope...."

She was one of the few Corbyn survivors and now he has claimed her scalp whilst making it look as if anyone defending her is defending anti-Semitism.

When he won I thought he was a Blairite figurehead but the key levers would still be controlled by the Corbyn faction. I have been surprised and how swiftly he is taking control of those levers. This reminds me of Kinnock doing the spade work for Blair.

Starmer may not be the next PM but he is making the job a lot easier for when Labour finds it's new Blair.
