Ant & Dec and now stars from Little Britain are having to apologise for acting as black or ethnic minorities in their shows for humour purposes. We all know that the reasons for this aren’t racist and that they were simply acting as other characters for humour in disguise. My point is, why are stars having to apologise for wearing black face, with their shows removed from Netflix and the like, whilst those of white origin arent calling for films of the big screen, namely White Chicks, whereby black males play and stereotype white blonde girls to be thick and use this for humour, or White Men Can’t Jump inferring that white men can’t play basketball..... This whole thing is getting out of hand. I understand the Black Lives Matter movement and fully agree for the reasons for standing up for Mr Floyd Death for police brutality in America but let’s not throw all the $hi7 around and realise that we can both be guilty as each other. This whole thing is getting out of hand. I understand the Black Lives Matter movement and fully agree for the reasons for standing up for Mr Floyd Death for police brutality in America but let’s not throw all the $hi7 around and realise that we can both be guilty as each other.
Let’s keep the focus on what needs to change and not let the messages we are seeing now, dilute the cause.

What needs to change exactly? I'm not being aggressive I'm just asking what you think. Oh and no, comedians can do whatever the feck they want. If people don't like it, don't watch. Oh and no, comedians can do whatever the feck they want. If people don't like it, don't watch. A comic will have an audience or they won't based upon how funny they are.

What concerns me more than the high profile blacklisting of films like Gone With The Wind will be the silent blacklisting that you won't hear about. The BBC for instance will not allow It Aint Arf Hot Mum to be shown on Britbox. How many other shows will fall foul of these silent boycotts, is Allo Allo problematic?. I agree with Stirlingsays let the public decide if these things are no longer funny or of no interest they will wither away on the vine. One more point

The BBC for instance will not allow It Aint Arf Hot Mum to be shown on Britbox. How many other shows will fall foul of these silent boycotts, is Allo Allo problematic?.

I agree with Stirlingsays let the public decide if these things are no longer funny or of no interest they will wither away on the vine.

Lots of celebrities bringing up stuff from the past that everyone had forgotten about and gaining exposure to boost their profiles.

Agents, the press, and social media are making a fortune out of this.

Anti-FA and EDL are both using this for recruitment.

Police are getting loads of overtime and to fight groups they hate.

The Chinese are giving wall to wall coverage of the dangers of democracy.

If someone hadn't of eaten a bat we'd all be watching the Euro's right now. Getting along with each other, and celebrities/the press/social media would all be making money of the back of football matches and not divisive hateful politics.

It's an interesting point. The Chinese have a lot to answer for, but no one is taking them to account - or is going to. There is probably manipulation of media and social media working in their interest too.

I think the term blacklisted should be blacklisted.

More than that, anyone who has ever been blacklisted should apologise.
