Did you take that photo?

Either way, thanks for posting it. I remember that like it was yesterday. Last league game of the season. 2 2 draw. City fans came on the pitch at half time with a banner to wish us well against united in the cup final.

Andy Gray is one of my favourite ever players. He must've taken a hundred free kicks from miles out and landed 99% of them in the streets outside the ground, but he didn't care. As far as he was concerned, be it from dead balls or open play, a yard or two inside their half was 'his range'!

I was also there, but don’t recall the goal. Probably too busy watching the Citeh fans. I was convinced it was all going to kick off. Didn’t they go down that year?

Not sure if others would agree, but believe Gray may be one of the most underrated Palace players ever.

Incredible player and huge part of our success during that time.

Great picture!
Look at the kids sat and stood around the edge. Now you cant stand in front of your seat without a jobsworth steward telling you to sit down.

Really? I have to disagree, I thought everyone knew what a good player and a massive part of that team he was, although brief, forcing himself into the England team proved that

One of my favourite Palace players he used too get some serious abuse when he left for villa when we played them but he saw sense and came back for the first match away to qpr in division 1 in 89 I remember him against us in the mercantile credit classic mini tournament at Wembley for villa the abuse he took most of it racist was shocking that day

Fair enough Monkey,

Guess I think more of Wright/Bright/Thomas/Martyn widen I think of that team.
