Some stories doing the rounds that we are in for him on a free. Would be an unbelievable signing especially as there are bigger clubs circling. Highly doubt it will happen, probably just an agent trying to get Fraser a better deal when he signs for one of the North London clubs. Really good player in a position we need strengthening and a great age.

His reputation is inflated due to the much maligned assists stats. For a winger he's a terrible dribbler.

He's a [relatively] big fish in a small pond. He'll be found out at any big club. His set pieces might be of use to us, but there are better players. Edited by Laszlo Panaflex (25 May 2020 3.51pm)

You can just imagine. Ryan Fraser is available on a free transfer........Parish : "Right, we'll have him". I don't think he will come to us anyway. He will be holding out for a top six club. One of them might come in for him as a squad player only. He will then live off the back of saying he is a top six player without even playing that much. Another Jack Rodwell @ City, Steve Sidwell @ Chelsea, Scott Parker @ Chelsea, Xherdan Shaquiri @ LIverpool, Danny Drinkwater @ Chelsea.

I'm not so sure about that I do enjoy watching bournemouth games on the telly hoping they lose because they're utter c***s and eddie howe is a Cricket coach looking w***er. However Fraser does have ability I'd like him at palace.

Fraser of this season: no The question would really be which one would we get. Bits I've read are that if the team plays well he does, if they don't neither does he. As a player suited to counter-attacking football he could fit in here and is more likely to provide traditional crosses than Wilf which could benefit Tekkers. I imagine he'd want big wages though to take what some might consider a sideways step.

I’m not disagreeing with your first two paragraphs but as for the examples given...I’d have taken any of those for Palace at the time those transfers happened!

I remember watching us play Bournemouth at home three or four Seasons ago (early on in the season and I think we drew 1-1)...It was my sons first ever Palace game. Other than that, the main thing I remember from the game was a very good, quick/sharp young winger who played for Bournemouth that day, who I had never heard of before and in my opinion was their best player during the game. The person in question - Ryan Fraser. If his weight and fitness are in good shape then I think he’d be an excellent signing, provided the wages are sensible!

I think you are both missing the point made, which is those that moved thought they were good enough for top six which is why they ignored the clubs like ours. They obviously were not hence they became bench warmers. The choice is and always has been, play for the smaller clubs or provide back up at the bigger clubs. Some prefer to say, “I am in the squad for Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool”, rather than, “I play for Palace”.
