With Millwall smashing Forest they are now only 2 points off the play-offs. If i'm honest i think the idea of them coming up is quite exciting... i've never really had a serious hatred of them like I have with Brighton and Charlton, and to be honest at the moment I think i dislike Watford and maybe West Ham more than them, but that may be just because we are in the same league... thoughts?

I like to think us and wall fans are similarly realistic.
We know deep down we really arnt that good but enjoy the good times knowing it will go south again eventually.
No divine right to anything, some other teams fans think they have a right because of history etc.
Carpe diem......as they say.

I hope Millwall don't come up,scummy club who'll cause trouble wherever they go.

Stay in the championship where they belong.

Anybody saying they want them to come up doesn't remember the away days at the original Den.
My abiding memory is that when they scored half the ground was silent. Most Palace used to go to the home end to avoid the obligatory chicken run to the away end.

I recall the experiences at the Old Den.

Their supporters were snarling rottweillers with dripping fangs with malevolence seeping out like oil from an old lawn mower.

Many years ago I was visiting a young lady (Palace fan) who lived near the Den. It was a Saturday and Millwall were at home to Villa. The Rottweilers were all outside New Cross Gate station, she told me to talk loudly so they knew I was not from Birmingham. Awful fans

In bygone days, the Rottweilers were also outside Norwood Junction after a Millwall v Palace game at the Den waiting to attack our supporters returning from the game.Scurvy pieces of work.

Many years ago, I was with two mates (one a Wall fan, the other a Fulham fan at the Cottage for a Fulham v Wall game.
Pretty dire game (0-0, I think).
After the game and after we'd just missed a tube, the following happened:
1. The Rottweilers came up the tube station stairs chanting "Hit 'em on the head, hit 'em on the head, hit 'em on the head with a baseball bat, Oh Yay". - we quietly moved along the platform
2. A tube came the other way full of Chelsea fans. Out of nowhere missiles were thrown at it the train by the Rottweilers
3. Our tube came and my Fulham mate and me managed to get into the front carriage. My Wall mate got carried away in the crush to one of the central carriages.
4. At Fulham Broadway we saw a line of police along the whole platform. The train seemed to be not stopping but eventually did with the front carriages beyond the platform. We were stopped for about 5 minutes.
5. We set off again but at Earls Court were told to get off because the train wasn't going any further.
6. When we met up with our Wall mate again we learned that the Rottweilers had torn apart the inside of the carriage he'd been in AND that at Fulham Broadway the police had dragged a number of the Rottweilers out of that carriage, given them a blow or three with their truncheons and thrown them back on before letting the train continue.
7. The following day's Evening Standard stated that a tube train had to be terminated at Earls Court because of vandalism and would be out of service of several months.

So, question is, do I want Millwall to come up?
You bet I DON'T.

Lovely allusion Willo.

To anyone with any admiration for them, I can only say ‘you weren’t there man’.

Millwall have done very well under Gary Rowett. When he joined them in October after 13 games they were in 16th place, they are now 8th, 2 points from a play-off position.
Rowett has signed 3 players, all on loan.

I'm of an age to remember when Millwall were our primary rivals and Brighton weren't on our radar (usually because they were in a division or two lower than us).

However, I don't want to renew our rivalry first hand and would rather play Brighton than Millwall.
