Another 17 year old heading for Selhurst for development? Bringing in talented young players does seem the right way to go for a club of limited resources like Palace? Never heard of Sparkes but presumably Freedman has...I think he still has a good eye for talent, so if he does head down south will be interesting to see how he develops

To what extent is this rumour being driven by the fact that we have brought in a couple of youngsters in this window? Having said that, if we are seeking Category 1 status for our academy then we need some promising youngsters to fill it! Bring it on!

Thanks for the info.. as he'd come down to have a trial with us I was hoping that we'd signed him as there seemed to be some very good reviews about him..
