I was very impressed with his contribution on loan 2017-8 and he's clearly popular in the dressing room to judge by greetings when he played against us for Fulham. He was rather overshadowed by Aaron Wan Bissake towards the end of his Palace time and that seems perhaps to have befallen him again. He's made no appearances for Man U this season. Maybe he's injured?

Maybe he's injured? Im not sure what games you watched but he was not good for us at all. He is not even at Championship level.

On a free at the end of the season I'd take him as a squad player. With some decent coaching from Roy he's got the physical attributes to become a useful player.

Some loanees come in and know they are playing for their careers and leave their blood and sweat on the pitch. Others come in with an apparent belief that they are simply marking time till their coronation to the man utd first team. He appeared the latter. Whether time has humbled him and there has been a blinding conversion to an improved model is moot. If so, a squad player in the summer would improve us. If not, then he will be one of those make weights who never leave development where Roy selects CBs as back-up before him.

Roy didn't seem to rate him and he quickly dropped down the pecking order. He was very young when he was with us, so he could have improved, but I doubt Roy would give his support to a move.
