He's not there at the mo(on holiday) but, Simon Scoble who owns Scoobys in Gale about 10k west of Alberfuria, massive Palace fan, might be able to help.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr Scoble but never visited his establishment. He is excellent company.

He is a charming and affable gentleman who is over-burdened with charisma and warmth and has a heart as large as Moby Dick.A jolly japester who is an avid supporter of our club.

Willo, sometimes you can post on here & totally blow things away. If ok with you id like to enlighten Scoobs with your oratory of him. It made me smile, im sure it would him.

Eagleman

I readily admit that I have never addressed the charming gentleman as "Scoobs".One assumes it relates to the name of his establishment in Portugal.

You may indeed enlighten "Scoobs" with my oratory of him - rest assured, my comments were genuine and well-intentioned.

I have not had the pleasure of being in his company for quite a while but the passage of time has not dimmed the positive memory I have of him.He is engaging company, an estimable chap and a lighthouse of joy.

Finally, from your profile it is apparent that your 'Pied a terre' is in the Alicante region. I have had the good fortune to pay a few visits to the town of Guardamar and also on a singular occasion spent a few days in Elche.Perhaps my wife and I will traverse to these parts next year.
