A charge has been registered on the above company by Macquarie Bank (Australian Bank) a couple of days ago. Hopefully this is to provide funding to buy players in January although I'm not sure why they had to go to an Australian Bank to do this

It is to do with Wan Bissaka's transfer to Man Utd. I looked very quickly at it however £22m is to be paid to us on June 2020 by Man Utd (I think) and we are using this transfer document as security for something.

It would appear that the Wan-Bissaka transfer fee was payable in instalments and that we've borrowed £22.5m, against the second instalment, due from MUFC on 1 July 2020: We do seem to need to live on the never never
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I think we live on the never EVER, Dave. I know that this is a well-explored issue, but what is the point of having the two billionaire owners if we have to go cap in hand to an Australian bank for a cashflow loan? It's difficult not to look with envy at a club like Brighton, where The Penguin just waddles into his Penguin Dome with another barrow full of cash whenever it's required. We still have very little tangible to show for being, in our now seventh season, back in the PL. There are other clubs, some newer than us to the PL, that are able to survive without the need for the level of wages to income that we've created.

I'm not sure what the cost is for the loan, that would be the issue for me.

It's against a player a volatile asset, it ain't going to be cheap. I have said many times before and been derided for blasphemy but we have owners who clearly do not or cannot invest. Millionaire club on tin pot income I say again

Setting aside the ownership issue seven years in the Premier League speaks for itself as does the growing number of youngsters who realise supporting Palace is more fun than being a plastic.
