Batshuayi in for £22m and Giroud in for £3m. Definite upgrade - fees balance out. Bit of a shortfall on the wages, but a cheaper striking option with 2 capable players rather than 2 glacial, non-scoring people I would never care to see in a Palace shirt again.

Apropos Batshuayi,at the present time Chelsea will not entertain a transfer in January with the ban still in place.

IMHO we are stuck with Benteke and Wickham until their recently extended contracts finally run out.

Nothing personal to the players but neither is contributing and both are taking.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

For me, Giroud would be an excellent short-term addition. A definite upgrade on all of our strikers and still has goals in him. If we could somehow offload Bentenke then I could see this happening, but otherwise not as he will demand 100k pw. Giroud plus Morelos from Rangers and we can have a really strong second half to the season.

I think more likely Giroud will end up in Italy or Spain, unless he has kids settled in a London school or something.
