This is the table per the CIES Football Observatory, values to assemble squad in EUR:

[Link]

1014 Manchester City FC ENG
751 Manchester United FC ENG
639 Liverpool FC ENG
561 Chelsea FC ENG
498 Arsenal FC ENG
486 Everton FC ENG
465 Tottenham Hotspur FC ENG
312 Leicester City FC ENG
259 West Ham United FC ENG
227 Newcastle United FC ENG
218 Southampton FC ENG
217 Wolverhampton Wanderers FC ENG
215 Bournemouth AFC ENG
214 Aston Villa FC ENG
208 Crystal Palace FC ENG
192 Brighton & Hove Albion FC ENG
189 Watford FC ENG
132 Burnley FC ENG
64 Sheffield United FC ENG
32 Norwich City FC ENG

From the above looks like Liverpool are doing well (despite 3rh highest), as are Tottenham, Wolves (despite huge wages), and Watford (although maybe not this year.

Poor spenders include Man U, Everton, Newcastle (surprisingly spent quite a bit).

We seem to be right where we should be.

Did we genuinely spend 208 mil on our squad? Hope we kept the receipts for Wickham, Benteke and Sorloth.

They also have a section for transfer value estimations.

Wilf is 50-70mm

Benteke is 4-6mm

That’s euros so say £180m

We have registered several players who will not feature unless we get a vanarama team in the cup. Bearing that in mind that's 10 mil a player. I think, for those prices, a few younger prospects could be at the club. We haven't got good value basically but I guess it's skewed by Benteke and Sakho's ridiculous prices. No one else was paying thirty mil for Benteke - I guess we can see why now.
Plenty of our players have very little sell on value. Around half what we paid is my guess for most.

CIES Football Observatory have Townsend and Luka valued at 40/50 Schlupp, Sakho, PVA and Meyer 15/20 Ayew 10/15 but Guaita at only 2/4, some of them way of the mark.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

40/ 50 for Schlupp? Are Real Madrid and Man City battling for his signature?

My own take - Luka 20/25 mil as is Townsend nearer 15-20. Sakho perhaps 20. Meyer perhaps 10/15 - would need to get more game time and consistency. Ayew 5-10 mil on current form: on last year's form 2.5 mil at most.
Guaita is good but he is in his thirties and a goalie - a hard one to value - maybe 5-9 mil?
Just my opinion, far be it for me to question those more knowledgeable.
