Heartfelt thanks for that banner of support, slamming our previous and current owners and the EFL. Lots of Bury fans said thanks on twitter but wanted to come on here and offer gratitude. Means a lot at a tough time for us Bury fans!

Terrible that a whole club/community has to suffer due to a couple of people’s p@ss poor management. Genuinely wishing you all the best for the future.

Very sad to see what has happened to Bury, especially the F.A's role in the situation. I hope you guys can find some way forward.. As a fan of the beautiful game and a supporter, all the very best for the future of your club.

Bury has a population of nearly 79,000 yet the majority of their home gates last season when they were promoted were less than 4,000 so the community never came out in force to support the club. Nevertheless, I accept that their expulsion from the EFL will be felt by many and it is sad to see a club suffer such a fate.I wish them all the best and I suspect they will resurrect themselves in a lower league in the not too distant future.

The gates only tell part of the story. For '' community '' read local businesses that provide services to the football club and have that as part of their income stream. And are probably unlikely to get paid what they are owed. The staff, full and part time. Pubs near the ground that depend on an increase in takings on match days.I'm sure there is more.

A friend's partner had a picture framing business Palace was one of his major customers when we went bust under Jordan he took a big hit. Many of the staff at Palace weren't actual staff but self employed they all took a big hit as well. It doesn't seem right that the players get 100% of their wages whilst the lower paid or small business get paid next to nothing. I get that everybody wants to get paid but if the players were subject to the same rules as they rest they might think twice before signing for a club with dodgy finances e.g. Portsmouth so hopefully thoses clubs would sort themselves out in order to attract players. Lots of comments about the EFL or the PL should bail Bury out but if clubs know there is a safety net it just encourages irresponsible owners. I hope Bury come back and quickly but owned by the supporters.

Best of luck Bury. If it's any consolation, the non-league is probably more fun than the league these days.
