For not renewing my season ticket this season.I have been going to SP since 1974 and a season ticket holder in the AW for ten years so not a glory hunter.Didn't renew for various reasons, prefer to play golf, shi**y journey, very poor football,VAR etc.Watching Sundays performance against The Blades confirmed that I had made the right decision.I did not enjoy last season at all with watching so much dross at home, also did not have too much luck with the three away games as well.Thought we were lucky to beat Fulham and were well beaten at Brighton and West Ham.Watching us lose though is not the problem as with our recent home form in the last few seasons, its become the norm.
Its the hope that's killed me,I've given up hoping to see us play with desire and players being comfortable on the ball, being able to pass the ball crisply to each over with a purpose to it.When was the last time we have totally dominated another side and played slick football.Watching newly promoted sides playing the sort of football I want to see only makes matters worse.Rant over.

Know what you mean mate i have not renewed my international membership this season ! been a palace fan since 1975 , it is the hope that is soul destroying . i was humming and hawing whether i should or not but i have had enough ! i think Steve has taken the club as far as he can and its time for change , it cost me about 400 euro to watch us make Brighton look like f***ing Barcalona last season , i know it dont sound like much but it is hard earned ( a bit like a palace goal ) and a lot of money to me , i know the smart arses on here will be " do you want a refund and all that bollox " i dont ! but i would like to see a team that plays with a bit of passion and pride !

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.

Very understandable. We had 3 season tickets & only renewed 2; the other one is a swiss friend who is building a house in our Cretean village (& has only ever sat in his seat once) next March. Justifying the costs involved, espically when going to away games is becoming very hard when we play so crap. Probably wont renew either of them next season. we would like to be entertained, sadly its the opposition who have seemed to be doing the majority of that the last couple of years. My scouse mates call Hodgson the anti-football christ; he put their gates down 10,000 before the board acted. The Villa match will be very interesting to seer how the crowd reacts if he picks the same old team & subs.

I should add that our Swiss friend tends to bring someone with him when he comes so we have to get 2 tickets together for them.

Not a chance mate. €400 is a hell of a lot of money to anyone except the people you’re paying to watch. Next time go and spend it on yourself, a few cds, dvds, clothes, books, whatever. Then a massive session and no all day journey involved.

Haven't been to Selhurst for a couple of seasons now which is a factor of moving out of the area and the terrible value you get at Selhurst in terms of quality of football and the awful condition of the ground.

I am amazed we get as many as we do for home games considering the style of football we play so the fans that do go to all the home games you deserve recognition of the highest order.

Quite! I'm not as old as some people on here, but I've been there through two administrations, 7000 crowds on a Tuesday night etc.

Is this grim? Yeah it is! But that's the palace way. Palace till I die!

That must mean you're a better fan in that case, good for you.

I'd hardly call two people who've been watching Palace for over 40 years 'fair weather' as you call them.

This is my 52nd season watching Palace.

My pre season enthusiasm and expectations were perfectly mirrored by the players performance at Sheffield.

However, I can't break the habit !
