Hi Charlie, I am season ticket holder in the upper Holmesdale stand and I have been nominated by a small group of other season ticket holders as their unofficial spokesperson to bring to you our disappointment, as a collective, in the catering facilities in the upper Holmesdale stand. For clarity I will list each disappointment: 1- Palace ale – this is always “off”. This was off for the majority of last season. I was amazed that it was off for the first game of the season. Please can you let me know why there are so many problems with “Palace Ale”? 2-Demand vs supply. There are a large number of supporters that want a beer at ½ time. There is a massive issue in queues as you will need to queue for the whole of ½ time to get beer and then you miss the match. As I am a spokesperson for a number of season ticket holder, I will be publishing any replies received from the club and will take the collective’s direction on a suitable response. If we had to communicate our message in one sentence it would be “Catering facilities are not good enough in the upper Holmesdale and we want some improvements”. “We just want a beer at ½ time collective”.

It's impossible to get anything in the AW either. I've stopped trying and just get pissed up before and after the game. I have stated this before.

Doesn't surprise me. As I have mentioned on previous threads, I have been unable to collect Loyalty points for the last 2 home games (once in the Stephenson Lounge and once in LH). I know it is not that important to many people but I spent over £40 and am trying to gain enough points to attend more away games.

Interested to see what comes back, I 100% endorse the comments on the AW, whether you want a beer or a piss, both out of the question........yet someone has a model of a new stand in his office
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Very few queues and lots of options. The O2 Arena is also good and Twickenham does OK. Wembley is rubbish in comparison. There must be things to learn, not just wait until we can change the structure of the buildings. Those beer kegs on the backs of vendors could be a start. Mind you, going cashless does appear to have made things quicker.

Gipsy Hill do some nice beer and local, not sure if they could supply enough if it took off though but a fair few other localish breweries around, Partizan, Fourpure, Orbit, Brixton, Brockley, Canopy etc. are all south of the river. It's not about the beers or where they are made. It's about the shambolic management of the outdated facilities. Various aspects of the club operations promote the opinion people are employed because they are mates or relatives. Has Charlie Shanahan replied? Interestingly there are two Charlie Shanahans on linkedin associated with CPFC bars, one is 62 and semi retired. The other Charlie Shanahan appears to be about the right age to be the son of the elder Charlie Shanahan.
