David Coote (37) from Notts.

He was in the middle for 10 Premier matches last season, none involving Palace.

However, he was fourth official for our 3-1 home defeat v Man City in April.

In charge of VAR will be Martin Atkinson.

Notts. Very close to Sheffield. Could be a 'homer'.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

So is Leeds - Martin Atkinson’s home patch.

Luckily, both individuals are men of intense integrity.

As they will demonstrate on Sunday.

If you consider Brighton very close to Croydon then yes it is just the same distance.

Not sure what your point is (would you be happy with a ref from Brighton reffing a Palace game, or even a Palace/Brighton game?), anyway it was only a tongue-in-cheek comment on my part. I'm sure the ref in question will be completely professional.

Actually perhaps I should refrain from mentioning 'tongue' and 'Brighton' in the same sentence.

Merely questioning your assertion that two areas 45 miles apart are "very close".

Not after Allan Gunn's performance in the 1990 Cup Final

Thanks for ruining my evening with that reminder, Spidey.
