Bernie Sanders lost out to Hilary Clinton for the Democratic nomination in the last US election. He is in the running again and his video on the Joe Rogan show has amassed almost 8 million views in less than a week.
Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping. Hubert Reeves |

I watched it.. Bernie sounds great but even he admits in this interview that if he became president he is powerless to stop big pharma and corporations. But he'll "give it a try". And as for his spending plans, they'd bankrupt the country because his "Wall Street tax" won't yield anywhere near enough. Then he spoke about we have 12 years to limit climate change catastrophe. What rubbish!

What rubbish! An honest reply by a politician. They never go down well. I very much agreed with his comments about the uselessness of the TV debate format. It's all about the next soundbite rather than actually fleshing out policies or world view. Fair play to him for taking taking the plunge with a format that is actually engaging and worthwhile.

Tulsi Gabbard was also on Joe Rogan and has better ideas IMHO.

Sanders is too old now to be considered. He'd be far better working to influence a high quality calibre Democrat leader with the express intention of beating Trump in the next Presidential election. Can't help feeling that Elizabeth Warren is Democrats' best hope given both image and substance. Wonder what others think?
