Sorry I don’t see how handing in a transfer request is taking the p@ss. He played a huge part in getting us up into the division and has been by far the biggest reason why we have stayed in it. He comes across as a good lad, always puts in a shift and has stuck with us for many years. I think you may be mistaking ambition for p@ss taking. Let’s get behind Wilf and all our lads.

What's wrong with trying to better yourself? He wants Champion's League and not Championship. Also what's wrong with trying to get the best price for your best asset? Parish does his best for the club and without him we'd be naval fluff. Wilf has been wonderful for our club we should be grateful. It will be fascinating to see his response (particularly today against Everton) - you gotta love this game. We should sing for him, not against him: "Everywhere you go, always take the Palace with you, everywhere you go always take the Palace". (Tune of Crowded House for those who are less than 500 years old like me). Or something else less sh*t.

Hope Wilf gets a wonderful recieption from our supporters. Need him to feel the love and know he’s still and always will be part of the family. Wilf scoring against Everton at home first day of the season. Couldn’t make it up. Get behind him people!!

I've no problem with him trying to better himself but the way he's gone about it this transfer windows leaves a lot to be desired...I can't believe you all seem to think its for him to behave like a knob. Even Roy's trying to take the sting out of it by saying he's hoping for sympathy from the fans. Wilf's an academy product on £130k a week...he needs to rebuild some bridges with us so he needs to perform but firstly a couple of verses of "you've taken the piss" might make him realize the fans live in the real world and so should he.

Talking out your arse. Our best ever player and you want to start the season by digging him out despite the fact that he has as yet done nothing wrong. He hasn’t gone on strike and hasn’t skipped training. He wanted his move to materialise and handed in a transfer request which was denied. Big deal.

I wouldn’t say he’s done nothing wrong because he handed that TR inwith 24 hours to go. He’s let his team act like a bunch of cvnts and all this has put our season at risk. However, we need him (because we can’t manage without him or the cash to replace him), and he needs us. This is reality, football and business. Cvnting him off would be suicidal. I won’t be singing his name, unless he reaches extraordinary heights, and I won’t be digging him out. I don’t expect a problem with him with the football until January, yet a tiny minority want a problem to potentially relegate us. Only at Palace. I expect about 30 people to boo him today if his name is announced or he comes on. I don’t think it will be very noticeable that some don’t clap or cheer his name or arrival because thousands will. Possibly an equal divide. It’ll be business as usual but some want the drama which WILL bring very bad performances we can’t afford. But carry on.
