From all the strikers I've talked about and who have been talked about here.....club agrees to pay 13 million for Assombalong Guy has 1 goal every 200 minutes in the Championship. Don't expect better than 1 every 300 minutes in the PL.

Boro fans seem disappointed but mainly because they're unlikely to get a 15-20 goal Championship replacement in at such short notice. I'd be willing to take a chance on him but I think we'd need to buy another striker too. And £13 million is a bit too much given our apparent financial situation.

It depends what kind of striker Hodgson wants. Judging by the other strikers rumoured it’s a speedy fox in the box who is an ace finisher? He has certainly scored loadsa goals in the championship especially when played in that role, rather than lone striker. But it’s another matter altogether to do that in the PL and the jury is out whether he has the quality to make it in the PL...

This is just a cunning ploy to generate income. Think about it, they do names by the letter so Cahill or Ayew don't bring in nearly as much as this chap!
