Aaaarrrggggh.....followed by various expletives are the sounds I frequently find myself making when witnessing a particularly bad piece of driving (and yes we have all been guilty)

The most common and mindless of these are the absolute tools who drive at over forty miles an hour down residential roads just because there are no speed bumps.....giving themselves very little chance of effective reaction should a child run out or anything else happen for that matter.

Death's too good for 'em.

The drivers, not the children.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

As long as they kill cyclists, I don't care.

As CF said, NOT children.

Mind you, with some children, I could make an exception.....

Not far from my abode is a road which runs through the downs for approximately 3 miles. What raises my hackles is getting behind some person (Usually older than my 66) who decides to amble along at just over 30 MPH when the limit is 50 MPH and there is simply NO opportunity to overtake due to traffic coming in the opposite direction and the bends in the road.Time and time again streams of cars are held up by these drivers who probably shouldn't be in charge of a vehicle.

My wife has often had to bore the brunt of my wrath in such circumstances not helped by the fact that she often comments about the beautiful views when I have to keep my eye on the road.

On a 'RURAL' single carriageway, the Minimum speed limit is 20mph. As you pointed out, there is a 50mph limit, that is NOT a requirement, it is a Limit for a reason.

I am certainly not advocating that drivers should exceed the speed limit but it is galling that some car drivers drive at a speed far below the limit and cause a backlog of traffic.I have been in such a backlog quite a few times so these are not isolated incidents.

Maybe I am just an irascible old git short of patience !

Thank you for your kind 'Welcome'.

To answer your question,I have been relaxing in the heat abroad. On my way out to sunny climes I saw Christian Benteke in the BA Lounge at Gatwick and I think the chap I saw on a beach was Richard Shaw.

Let's return to the subject of this thread !

I am sure they have all been forensically assessed by driving examiners
