Unfair on Vlads (we are mates). He is elected by actual majority it is the western leaders who are often not, particularly the UK and USA, where no republican president has won the popular vote in the last 7 outings. Only this week the bent USA president has been trying to fix the census so that minorities do not qualify to vote. As for the UK we had better not even go there, how minority can any society possibly be? I am not sure russians and chinese would relish the thought of the House of Lords or the Monarchy, it is like looking back at the Romanoff dynasty or the UK. They must have a democratic minus but you have to live under your system and their societies seem well ordered and their peoples balanced and happy. We have good reason to thank Putin in the west, he has been a safe pair of hands throughout his long tenure. Long may he continue, and not to replaced by some nutter like Trump.

Yeah, but you're not that big a fan of democracy anyway.....though we all know that it's always been the least worst fart in a lift of outrageous stinkers.

Unless there is a fightback the west seems to be slowly heading towards some sort of 'social credit' system like China's....though perhaps more part state and part corpocracy.
