As the start of this season marks 40yrs of continuous membership of the top two divisions in English football for Palace.I think we can be very proud of this achievement considering we have suffered two administrations in this time as well. Not 100% sure but I can only think of seven other clubs that have achieved this. Can you name them?

Man Utd, surely. Also, our first season in the old div 2 was 1977/78, therefore 2019/20 will be our 43rd season, won't it, not our 40th?
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Ipswich Town would have been added to the list but theyve just been relegated to the third tier for the first time since 1957.

Thanks for the correction, but would have been our 41st season as only two years out from your correct year.I somehow got mixed up with our promotion to the top division in 1979.
