His dad said we will see when asked about the links with Palace. Apparently he is quite good and has been impressive in Italy, but I haven’t heard much about him.

Quite good and still young for a right back at 23, contract just 1 more year, but only used to play in a 3-4-3 system. I really can't tell if he would offer the same either defensively of offensively in a back 4 system. Very risky to pay millions for a right back who hasn't played in 4-4-2

Foreign and largely unknown - might be some truth in this. I will only believe this when West Ham are interested though.

The comment that he played mainly on the left of midfield last season suggests he is an attacking fullback, or at least has the qualities to do that maybe more like PVA than say Joel Ward.

Kristof Terreur, the Journalist who seems to know all things Belgium related, has said that we have hed exploratory talks over Castagne as one of the top targets should AWB leave.

He says Castagne undecided over what he wants to do next year.

We already have Ward and Kelly at the club. If we do sell AWB then it would be madness to spend the money on another right back when we need goalscorers.

Not getting a new right back if awb does leave would be a masssive mistake the impact awb has had on the team last season proved it ward is a solid backup now but not a starter and Kelly is now a CB so a right back is needed if not it will be like when Jedi left and we didn't replace him and we were crap in midfield until Luke came in

All well & good saying sell AWB for 50 million but AWB will leave a massive hole in our team. He makes it look so easy that we forget what he's actually doing 1/2 the time ...

You take that kind of talent out of an average Prem team then you'll pay the price IMO. Look at the impact Cabaybe & RLC leaving had?! Couldn't win at home / no creativity in the middle of the park ...

Losing 3 players like this in a couple of seasons means we'll suffer ... guaranteed!

Whilst understanding your position on this, a good defender will cost £20m max. If we get £50m there is £30m to go spend on an RLC/Cabaye type of player which we desperately need. As good as AWB is you cannot say that he provides creativity in the middle of the park so do you not think that we can perhaps downgrade nominally in one position to improve in a far more important position? I’d definitely swap 1 goal saved by good defending for two goals created by killer passes.

A top notch rb helps win you titles. We’ll never be that level

If we use the money we’ll and buy a decent replacement then we can possibly crack top 8.

In an ideal world if we had plenty of doe and could keep him, great. Sadly not possible
