Ok, this is my opinion, feel free to post others if you think they deserve more. In no particular order:

1. Messi- 34 goals and 15 assists, I'm not even counting how many penalties, cause it just doesn't matter at this rate
2. Luis Suarez- 25 goals and 13 assists in all competitions
3. ter Stegen
4. Oblak
5. Pablo Sarabia (midfielder, Sevilla)- 12 goals and 13 assists+ 8 and 4 in the Europa League
6. Ben Yedder (striker, Sevilla)- 17 goals and 8 assists+ 10 goals and 2 assists in the Europa League
7. Iago Aspas (striker, Celta)- 17 goals and 6 assists
8. Sterling- 17 goals and 12 assists
9. Leroy Sane (I don't care that he's not a starter lately, he's just that good for me)- 16 goals and 18 assists in all competitions
10. David Silva (not Bernardo)- 9 goals and 12 assists from central midfielder, also running a lot
11. Trent Alexander Arnold-1 goal and 15 assists
12. van Dijk
13. Robertson- 13 assists
14. Milner- 1 goal (not from penalties) and 7 assists from central midfield, but also his hard work and running and imposing presence
15. Salah- 22 goals and 11 assists+ 4 goals and 2 assists in the UCL
16. Mane- 20 goals and 2 assists+ 4 goals and 3 assists in the UCL
17. Heung Min Son- 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions
18. Eriksen- 9 goals and 17 assists in all competitions
19. Hazard- 16 goals and 15 assists
20. Azpilicueta- very hard working and well built
21. Aubameyang- 20 goals and 8 assists+ 5 goals and 3 assists in Europa League
22. Goretzka (defensive midfielder, Bayern)- 9 goals and 7 assists
23. Kimmich (right back, Bayern)- 2 goals and 17 assists
24. Gnabry (winger, Bayern)- 13 goals and 9 assists
25. Jadon Sancho (winger, Dortmund)-12 goals and 19 assists in all competitions
26. Luka Jovic (Frankfurt)- 17 goals and 6 assists and 9 goals and 1 assist in the Europa League
27. Cristiano- 21 goals and 11 assists
28. Matuidi (very underrated)
29. Joao Cancelo (right back)- 9 assists, also very well built
30. Koulibaly (defender, Napoli)
31. Duvan Zapata (center forward, Atalanta)- 22 goals and 7 assists
32. Neymar- although he played little, he has 22 goals and 12 assists in all competitons
33. Mbappe- 30 goals and 9 assists
34. Dusan Tadic- 24 goals and 13 assists+ 6 goals and 4 assists in the UCL
35. van de Beek (central midfielder)-16 goals and 12 assists in all competitions
36. Callum Wilson- 25 goals and assists together and national team debut
37. Paco Alcacer- 19 goals and 2 assists in 1500 minutes
38. Thorgan Hazard (winger, Moenchengladbach)- 12 goals and 11 assists
39. Pizzi (central midfielder, Benfica)- 14 goals and 23 assists
40. Alisson
41. El Shaarawy- 18 goals and assists in 2200 minutes from left wing, not striker (unlucky to be a bit injured too)
42. Memphis Depay- 10 goals and 14 assists in the French league, but mostly cause of 7 goals and 4 assists at international level for Holland, especially against Germany or France

I'm not that big a fan of center forwards who get many balls in front of the net, like Aguero, Lewandowski or Benzema. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're great players, but they're also made by the team. And at national level, we can see that Lewa and even Aguero don't have the same impact.

I tried to only name players good both with scoring or assisting, but also good for pressing and when the team doesn't have the ball.

Sorry, no Zaha )

Do you think any of those would come to Palace to make us stronger next year?

Fun facts:

Pablo Sarabia was bought by Sevilla for just 0.9 million fom Getafe after having scored 11 times and assisted 13 in his last 2 La Liga seasons there, in 5500 minutes.

Wisam Ben Yedder was a goalscorer for a low-table team from France, Toulouse, came to Sevilla for 8 million.

Iago Aspas was at Liverpool and was deemed surpluss for requirements. Though the competition at Liverpool is very strong and he himself is not really cut off for the Premier League speed, he still did wonders this last season for lowly Celta, even playing right winger at times. Messi type of player. Sevilla bought him from Liverpool for 6 million, Celta for just 5, but he was apready 28.

Heung Min Son- bought by Leverkusen for 8 million from Hamburg after having scored 17 and assisted 3 in 3900 minutes by the age of 20 in the Bundesliga. Then sold to Tottenham for 27 million, now worth 80 million.

Aubameyang- bought by St Etienne for 1 million in 2012 after he had played on loan in the French second division for Dijon and in Ligue 1 for Lille and Monaco (at that time not a powerhouse) and had 14 goals and 7 assists in 2200 minutes in the second league and 3300 minutes in Ligue 1, all playing as a winger in those days.
Paying 1 million for a 20 year old player who scored and assisted once in around 300 minutes sould have been suggested by any decent and competent club President or scout at that time. Auba was tall, fast, Cristiano Ronaldo-like type of player, you'd have had to have been blind not to get him for 1 million.

And he scored 16 and assisted 11 for St Etienne the following season, they sold him to Borussia Dortmund for 11.5 million and he established himself there mostly as a striker and goalscorer of the league. Now at Arsenal where he plays both striker and left winger with great success. Also does many other things besides scoring

Serge Gnabry was Arsenal's player and grew up in the English system. Bremen paid for him just 5 million after he had scored 17 and assisted 9 in the youth leagues in 3700 minutes.
Just needed to be given playing time at high level. Got it for Bremen and scored 11 and assisted 2 in 1900 minutes in the Bundesliga. Bought by powerhouse Bayern Munich and is regarded as their future star player. Still only 23

Luka Jovic had 13 goals and 4 assists before turning 18 years in 2200 minutes in the first Serbian division. Benfica paid for him 6 million but was stupid enough not to give him playing time. Let him go on loan to Frankfurt with a very low option to buy and, obviously, they activated it now. Just 6.5 million.

Duvan Zapata went to Napoli for 6.5 million. He had 19 goals and 1 assist in 3000 minutes in the Argentine league by the age of 22. At Napoli he scored 15 and assisted 5 in 1900 minutes. But they sold him for 15 million. Now he's at Atalanta and the second top scorer of the Serie A. A real beast, a better version of Benteke.

Dusan Tadic was available for 11 million last summer, after some good seasons in the PL with Southampton, but 1 bad last one.

Who should we spend money on?

Let's get this straight. You choose in 9th spot a player who does not start for his team
Insane

He started 35 out of 55 possible matches for City and contributed with 16 goals and 18 assists for the team which won the league, from winger position. He was their second best after Sterling and deserves to be on the list.

Bernardo was miles better.

Also where did 35 starts come from? I can see he made 21 in the PL, 4 in the CL and 4 in the cup comps.

21/38 starts in the Prem and 4/12 in the champions league does not suggest he’s their second best player.

I was really commenting for the punchline.

But plenty of players start more than 60% of their team's games (even ones that reach European Cup finals) and if Pep didn't trust him for crucial games at the end of the season....

I did want to discuss the thread, but clearly you need to deflect for some reason.. I wonder why.

I’ve never had someone dig up an 18 month old thread on me, but interesting approach.. I think you of all people should probably avoid it.

Let me know if you’d like to discuss the topic at hand.

How about no harry kane. Top scorer in world cup and two golden boots, plus 24 goals in an injury ravaged season this season.

18 months don't make you more intelligent. If you think Bernardo Silva is better than Leroy Sane, this discussion is proof of it. Time will prove once and again that you are wrong, like you were every time you engaged me in conversation with ill intentions.

And yes, Guardiola didn't count on him for some matches, with Huddersfield, Newcastle and Brighton among them. Looks to me like he was more resting him or rotating the squad. The manager is also kind of pissed that Sane refuses to sign a new contract and is punishing him cause Bayern have already gotten to him and he might be forced to sell at the end of summer if they don't convince him to pen a new deal.

But what do I know......even though I've seen Leroy Sane play and what he can do and it's out of this world...I don;t know anything

I didn't count the summer World Cup. And even if I had, he scored 3 goals from open play in 600 minutes, all against Tunisia and Panama, hardly a great accomplishment.

He has this year 21 goals (excluding penalties) and 8 assists in 3800 minutes. Kind of few considering Callum Wilson, who plays for Bournemouth and doesn't have the same players feeding him balls, has 1 every 100 minutes.

Harry is a good player, but it has not been his year.

Bernado has been amazing this season for City and defiantly in the premier league team of the season.
