It looked like a bad groin injury which coupled with Sakho's absence, suggests we will go with our 2017 pairing of Dann and Kelly for the rest of the season. Anyone see any updates yet?

Yep looks like it will be Dann and Kelly... Cant think of any other centre halves really... I think O'Dwyer and Woods are our U23 centre back off the top of my head but obviously neither have any type of league experience let alone Premiership. Am I right in recalling Schlupp playing a game at centre half last season or am I going mad??
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I think it will be Sann and Kelly with Woods as back up but there is also Ward who has played in the middle and Jairo did as well in a cup game. Seems to have gone into obscurity through.
I read this board everyday but never write anything; except this. |

Wily Kouyate can play in central defence and Jairo Riedewald is supposed to be able to play there too although he's probably forgotten how to play football anywhere by now

Kelly is in the Times Team of the Week (along with Wilf) CB is his position so he will be a competent substitute for Tomkins and Sakho. Whoever plays will have their work cut out, however.

Jairo started out at CB in Holland, it didn't start well for him here though as we all saw. Maybe we better just pray Dann or Kelly don't pick up anything between now and the end of the season!

Not a bad time to blood Woods to see he is another AWB in the making.
