I did matched betting with Profit Squad a while back and made around a grand on all the new account offers that betting companies do (free bets etc). Lost interest eventually because you have to work harder once the offers expire for smaller margins but no doubt it's a proven method of making money. Worth a go though if you don't mind investing a little time in setting it all up. Ps. I haven't been paid to say this, honest.

I did matched betting with Profit Squad a while back and made around a grand on all the new account offers that betting companies do (free bets etc). Lost interest eventually because you have to work harder once the offers expire for smaller margins but no doubt it's a proven method of making money.

Worth a go though if you don't mind investing a little time in setting it all up.

Many matched bettors actually make more money after they've done the new customer offers. Yes, the profit margins can be smaller but there are a lot of offers and the idea is that once you've done the sign up offers, you've gained a bit of knowledge and experience to do the reload offers quicker. There are still plenty of 'Bet & Get' offers which can return a quick profit and are similar to the sign up offers. Then there's Bet365's 2Up offer which can return BIG profits, multiple advantage play offers, low-risk casino offers, extra places, dutching....the list goes on. However, even if you're in it for new customer offers, making £1k should be attractive enough for most. Especially if you can get through most of them within a month for £5

For anyone who doesn't understand how matched betting works. here is a quick example of a sign up offer. Ladbrokes: Bet £10 and get £30 in free bets In order to receive the free bet, you first have to place a £10 bet with your own money. Ladbrokes: Bet £10 and get £30 in free bets

In order to receive the free bet, you first have to place a £10 bet with your own money. To ensure you don't lose your £10, you cover all outcomes by backing and laying your bet.

For example,

You place a £10 back bet on Palance to beat Brighton this weekend at odds of 1.8.

You place a £9.96 lay bet on Palace at odds of 1.81 on a betting exchange such as Betfair.

If Palace win, your bookmaker bet wins and if Palace don't win (draw or lose), your exchange bet wins. Either way, we will end up £0.21 down.

However, we now have a £30 free bet from which we can make a profit.

We repeat the process for our free bet.

For example,

We place our £30 free bet on Wolves to beat Chelsea on Sunday at odds of 7.0.

We place a £25.35 lay bet on Wolves at odds of 7.1 on a betting exchange.

Again, if Wolves win, our bet will win with Ladbrokes and if they don't win, our bet will win with the exchange.

Either way, we will make a £24.92 profit from this bet.

Therefore, our total profit for this one offer is £24.71 (£24.92 - £0.21).

That's just one bookmaker offer and there are hundreds more which you can lock in a profit from regardless of the results of your bets.

As much or as little as you want. That's one of the benefits of matched betting. There are offers available every day and so you can simply fit them in in your spare time. £500 a month is achievable from the easy 'Bet & Get' offers which only take a few minutes to do each. I'd say that you wouldn't need to dedicate more than an hour a day to do all of them and it's not exactly hard work once you get the hang of it. There's still 3 days left of the Cheltenham Festival and more offers than usual about so a great time to start.
