According to Alan Nixon on Twitter, who is normally fairly good with his shouts, we are looking at Butland in the summer with interest from Spain for Guaita.

I'd be fairly happy with this.

I've always thought that the name Butland was perfectly suited to Brighton.

Why are we getting rid of Guaita? I like him.

I don't think we want to. The rumour alleges that he wants to move on rather than that we want to shift him. Potentially explains why he didn't play yesterday, although the whole thing could be bollocks.

FWIW I'd get Butland as Wayne is over 30, Perri is too inexperienced and Butland is in his late 20s, perfect age. That is assuming we can get decent money for Guaita to fund it.

Butland is mid 20s so even better. Great keeper.

There ar no great English keepers if Pickford is Number 1. But he is likely to be pushing for move given Stoke's position

if we could do a £15m deal for a england squad goalkeeper 25 years old we should bite their hand off as given the price goalkeepers are going for at the minute, thats a bonus, and he would be an inprovement on what we have.

and he would have 10 years left in him!

McCarthy at Southampton is around the England fringes and personally I don't rate him whatsoever. Butland is all right at the right price. I prefer Guaita but if we could turn a profit on him and he wants to go, then okay.

I dont know why, but Guaita has never seemed very 'Palace' to me.
