An interesting statistic in the BBC match report of today's fine win at Burnley:

"Crystal Palace have scored in nine consecutive Premier League games for the first time ever within a single season."

This lot breaking goal scoring records. Who'd have thought it, eh?

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

More like 'Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace' or
'Frank Lampards's Derby'

According to Wikipedia:

Record consecutive matches scoring: 24, 27 April 1929 - 21 December 1929

(Incidentally this traversed two seasons).
Willo remembers it as though it were yesterday.

We do seem to be improving in front of goal - at least away from home. Starting with the Man City game our goals tally in away games reads - 3,2,3,1,2,4,3.

I wish we could be treated to some of that at home - Brighton next Saturday would be a good time to start.
